The Western Region Universities' Funday

The Western Region Universities' Funday, held on March 1st at MMUST, brought together MLS students from Maseno, MMUST, Alupe, and Moi Universities for a day of sports, intellectual engagement, and networking. The main highlight was the football tournament, where Maseno defeated MMUST 3-2 in the pre-finals before securing the championship with a 4-1 victory over the Alupe-Moi combined team. The matches created an exciting and competitive atmosphere, with students actively engaging and supporting their teams.

After the football matches, a quiz and discussion session was used to test participants' knowledge, with each university selecting two representatives. The competition was intense, with Alupe taking first place with 40 points, followed closely by Maseno with 35 points. This session encouraged teamwork and knowledge exchange among students. Throughout the day, students from different institutions interacted, built connections, and strengthened relationships within the MLS community. The event successfully combined both academic and extracurricular activities, bringing MLS students together in a meaningful way.
